Why a good financial planner is about more than money


Traditionally, financial planners have specialised in providing advice to older Australians, especially since older Australians are likely to have more money to invest. This is a great service for older Australians to help them get their financial lives in order.

We at Bounce Financial do things a little differently. Whilst we do provide some services to older Australians, the majority of our clients are young professionals, first home buyers and young families.

Why do we specialise in younger Australians? Particularly given a lot of younger people don’t have a lot, if any, money to invest? Because we believe we can add the most value to younger people’s lives.

By the time somebody hits their 50’s, a large portion of their working life is behind them. Whilst good advice can be invaluable at this time, if that same person had obtained advice in their 20’s, they would likely have been in a far better position.

Does our strategy of directing our efforts towards younger people potentially cost us money in the short term? Yes! Do we care? Hell No! Because life is about more than money and a good financial planner should know this.

We want to help our clients grow and achieve the lives they have always wanted. It is only with a solid financial plan that they will get there.

We at Bounce Financial see this as a long term play. We want to make sure our clients get the right advice as soon as they possibly can and as they grow we can grow with them. We know that by helping our clients achieve their goals, we will have a client for life, which is far more valuable than any quick win could ever be.

Like everything in life, the hardest things are always the most rewarding in the long run.
